ABSTRACT

Sunday. Funday. I got up (On Kawara). Made celery juice. Because celebs swear that it helps to stay slim, energized and glowing (Eat the rich). Lol. Went to the university library. It was closed. Went back home and finally started working on a 250 word abstract for a paper i need and want to write on participatory propaganda. After googling the faces of the academics behind some of the relevant papers and after digging deeper into academic gossip (rejoinder) i ended where one always ends – procrastinating.
I had read an article on Pavement's "strange, ironic, loving bio-pic" (Hua Hsu) the other day (on paper) and decided to search for one of the shows the author had attended. It was strange to see that only slightly more than 2000 people had watched the entire recording of a Pavement concert in Brooklyn a couple of years ago. It was lovely, nostalgic, strange and there (of course) was so much to unwrap now. Why did the former drummer die? He was old(er) than the others. Who is Stephen Malkmus married to? Jessica Jackson Hutchins. Is he really playing Golf as Wikipedia indicates? Was the Mayor League music video already indicating this? How did he and his family like Berlin between 2010-2012? Why did i miss him playing Can with von Spar?
Von Spar. At some point in time i by chance attended a concert during some sort of art thingy in Berlin. I am not quite sure when that was, i would have to ask Katharina. It was really good. So i ended up on their website and Von Spar / Eiko Ishibashi / Joe Talia / Tatsuhisa Yamamoto - III has been playing ever since. Hauptsache Musik as a beautiful album by German Band Mutter indicates. 1993. Here are 58 Minutes. Live, Colosseum.
