METADATING

While i have used other places and outlets to write more structured this place here is currently used to gather loose ends and archive stuff. A bunch of texts and talks keep my brain busy. A plethora of words and concepts and thinking manifests a tremendous shift encompassing structure, design and certainties. I am excited.  

Pilipets and Chao (2025) outline the practice of ‘metadating’, where researchers spend time with digital data not just as one-dimensional units but as complex and multi-faceted audio-visual objects, using a range of participatory and computational techniques to study the complexities of such‘sonic social media’.
